BCARS Meeting Minutes - Oct 1st, 2026
A meeting of the Bedford County Amateur Radio Society was called to order at 1930 hours at Bedford American Legion by President Zachary Pepple and a quorum was declared.
In attendance were (13): Lloyd K3QNT, Gary KC3KHK,Steve KA3UDR, Bernie W3DRW, John KB3DFZ, Zach KC3KHK, Kip K3IP, Aiden KC3VLQ, Louise, Steve KE3ZT, Kenny WB3JEK, Jay K3SCM, Ellis KC3WMI
Meeting Minutes were presented by John KB3DFZ. Motion to approve was made by KA3UDR and seconded by W3DRW. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report was presented by Lloyd, K3QNT. Motion to approve was made by *W3DRW and seconded by KE3ZT. Motion carried.
Old Business
Coffee Pot Event Station for October 3rd.
- John to bring radio and power supply, Lloyd to bring antenna, Kip to bring van
- 40M from coffee pot. K3QNT, W3DRW, and KB3DFZ will operate the coffee pot.
- Other stations on 20 and 15
- Scheduled signups was done.
New Business
WPA SET will be operated as a coffee pot special event station.
Van may need alternator replaced or repaired. K3QNT motions we repair the alternator. Seconded by KC3KHK. Motion carried.
Winter Field Day, January 23rd & 24th, 2027. K3QNT asked if we were interested if we can get the lodge. Enough members were interested to proceed.
Repeater 146.790 - the club discussed changing the PL to see if this would help on interference. We will migrate it to 203.5hz.
The meeting was adjourned at 2011 hours.
