Old Business
Field Day: The club discussed field day. It was generally agreed it went very well. Points are still being calculated. KE3ZT presented a summary of VarAC emails sent.
Lost Turkey Trail We are set to participate on July 25th, 2026. Five stations need to be covered, plus start (which can move).
Picnic - Merrit Pond is no longer renting out the pavillion. We don’t have a location secured yet. We are looking at pavillions at Shawnee Park. Food was discussed.
New Business
Commissioner stopped by at Field Day. They do have a home school group that would be interested in us doing a presentation. This would be remote based.
Bedford Area Recovery Network is looking to do a 5K around August 15th, official date to be determined.
Van is due for inspection in July. The tires are from 2015 and may need to be replaced. K3QNT proposed that BCARS look into an enclosed trailer. If the van needs tires - we may want to decide.
HT was purchased for the van as approved in June’s minutes. Total was $174 - BTECH UV PRO, color Black. With APRS.
The meeting was adjourned at 2008 hours.
Respectfully Submitted,
John Hogenmiller, KB3DFZ BCARS Secretary
