BCARS Meeting Minutes - Sept 3rd, 2026

A meeting of the Bedford County Amateur Radio Society was called to order at 1930 hours at Bedford American Legion by President Zachary Pepple and a quorum was declared.

In attendance were (9): John KB3DFZ, Kip K3IP, Zach KC3KHK, Gary KC3KHK, Steve KE3ZT, Bernie W3DRW, Steve KA3UDR, Kenny WB3JEK, Jay K3SCM

Meeting Minutes were presented by John KB3DFZ. Motion to approve was made by WB3JEK and seconded by KA3UDR. Motion carried.

No treasurer or report was available.

Old Business

Picnic was discussed. The pavilion 3 was a good spot with power. Water was a distance away, so water should be planned for next year, along with serving utensils.

Lloyd, K3QNT has reserved this pavilion for June ARRL Field Day 2027.

New Business

Coffee Pot Event Station for October 3rd. Steve KE3ZT passed out information about the event. This information has also been sent to the BCARS group. The information will also appear in October’s QST. October 1st is a BCARS meeting. Oct 2nd is setup beforehand, Oct 3rd is the vent.

John, KB3DFZ will add Coffee Pot info to the BCARS homepage.

Holiday Dinner - KE3ZT motions we go to Hoss’s. Seconded by KA3UDR. Motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 2010 hours.
