BCARS Meeting Minutes - April 2nd, 2026
A meeting of the Bedford County Amateur Radio Society was called to order at 1930 hours at Bedford American Legion by President Zachary Pepple and a quorum was declared.
In attendance were (7):
John KB3DFZ, Kip K3IP, Zach KC3KHK, Steve KE3ZT, Steve KA3UDR, Vince KD3AHS, Kenny WB3JEK
Meeting Minutes were presented by John KB3DFZ. Motion to approve was made by KE3ZT and seconded by WB3JEK.
Treasurer’s Report (March, Updated) was presented by John KB3DFZ. John discussed various checks received, checks issued and cash deposits. The ending balances are:

A motion to approve was made by KE3ZT, seconded by KA3UDR. Motion carried. The full treasurer’s report is on file.
Old Business
Parks On The Air K3IP will not be available to run the April 4th POTA session. We will plan to reschedule.
Mesh K3IP reports the first node is up at K3IPs Mountaintop Estate near Salemville. Additionally, NU3T reports installing Meshcore is now installed at Kinton Knob. Meshtastic and Meshcore are similar hardware, but different protocols.
Bloody Run May 16th. We can finalize details at the May meeting. BCARS stations volunteers along the river and at the finish line to provide tactical communications.
