WPA ARES South-2 District Meeting

If you live in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon,
Mifflin or Somerset County, this meeting is in your back yard! Saturday,
August 12, 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM at the Breezewood Holiday Inn Express.

The next in our series of District Meetings for ARES leaders, Club
officers and other interested amateurs will be next Saturday, August 12
at the Holiday Inn Express in Breezewood. All South-2 District amateurs
are invited to attend. These meetings will last 4 hours and will cover
updates on ARRL activities, VE test procedure updates and upcoming
Section Events such as JOTA and the SET. All ECs and other Field
Organization appointees, Club Officers and all interested Radio Amateurs
are encouraged to attend the meeting in their District to get the latest
information and assistance in filling out monthly report forms,
procedure changes, and new initiatives.

If you want to attend the August 12 South-2 District Meeting in
Breezewood, please send a list of names and call signs for everyone in
your party, so we can have adequate materials to hand out. Please send
me an email confirming your attendance to [email protected] by Wednesday,
August 9th.

Admission is free and open to anyone.

4:00 — Final comments and conclusion

The remaining District meetings are North-2 October 28 in DuBois and
South -1 November 5 at the WACOM Hamfest. If you miss the one in your
District, you are welcome to attend any of them!

Reports from the first meeting in District North-1 were very
enthusiastic and encouraging. Everyone expressed their opinion that the
material was both vital and of immediate use to their local groups. We
believe you will find the same to be true for you. Don’t miss out!
