Janurary Meeting Rescheduled

UPDATE: You can now fill out your membership roster online. By filling this out, you can update your information with both BCARS and WPA ARES.

The January meeting has been rescheduled for January 9th @ 7:30 PM (1930).

1. Dues are due, again we have been able to keep our dues at $20.
2. If you have an existing ACS/ARES ID Card, it expired 12/31/2013 and we need to put a renewal sticker on it. There is no charge for this, but you must renew at http://www.wpaares.org/. This card is also required in order to access the BCAR’s Communication room at the Bedford County EOC.
3. New Pennsylvania ACS/ ARES identification cards are available. If you are registered with ARES and would like a photo ID, please contact John Hogenmiller ([email protected]). You will need a digital headshot of yourself (preferably against a white background) to put on the card. KB3DFZ can take your photo or you can have a friend take it. Each ID badge will be $5.30 ($5 + 6% sales tax).

If you have not signed up to be involved in WPA ARES recently, you can do so on http://www.wpaares.org/. In fact, this is the only official place to do so currently. You do not have to be a member of ARRL or BCARS in order to participate in ARES, only a licensed amateur radio operator.
